Leaving behind a career in journalism, founder Anjali Nair returned to her lifelong love of craft to create The Cannanore Shop—a mother-daughter passion project celebrating timeless Indian craftsmanship. Growing up in an Army family, Anjali’s childhood was spent constantly on the move, inspired by her mother's collection of handwoven sarees and the skilled artisans they encountered across the country. Named after her hometown of Kannur, Anjali built this space to champion slow, soulful textiles over mass-produced trends, ensuring every handcrafted piece carries a genuine story.
